This is one of the Gulf's busiest short crossings — and we keep it that way with over 50 departures a day linking Samui to Phangan. Our ferries leave from Bangrak Pier, Mae Nam Pier and Nathon Pier on Samui, all arriving at Thong Sala Pier on Koh Phangan. With sailings from 06:30 onwards you can reach Phangan in time for breakfast.
What to expect on board
Several operators cover this route using standard ferries, speedboats and chartered vessels, so you can choose the sailing that best suits your pace. The Gulf of Thailand is generally calm on this corridor, though swells can build during the monsoon months of October and November — we recommend morning departures for the smoothest conditions.
Fares start from THB 200. We advise booking ahead around full-moon weekends when demand on this route peaks sharply.
