Our ferries depart from Bangrak Pier, Mae Nam Pier and Nathon Pier on Samui, heading north through the Gulf to arrive at Mae Haad Pier on Koh Tao. Mae Haad is Koh Tao's central landing point and within easy walking distance of the island's main dive shops and restaurants. First sailings leave from 06:30, giving early arrivals a full day on the island.

On the water to Koh Tao

Several operators run this route with high-speed ferries and standard ferries — travel time is around 90 minutes by the faster craft. With over 25 departures a day spread from morning through midday, you have plenty of choice. Fares start from THB 450.

The Gulf can be choppy between October and December; we suggest morning sailings during this period. Koh Tao is at its busiest from December through April, when dive-season demand makes advance booking worthwhile.
